A propeller is an aerodynamic load. Bigger diameter \u2192 more load. Higher pitch \u2192 more load. More blades \u2192 more load. The motor responds by pulling more current to maintain RPM. A 900KV motor on 6S (22.2V) wants to spin at ~20,000 RPM with no prop. Put a 10-inch prop on it, and actual RPM drops to maybe 15,000-16,000 under load. Stiff blades don't flex under load, so pitch stays consistent through the RPM range. That means predictable thrust curves \u2014 important when you're flying a $20,000 lidar sensor. The downside: a blade strike that would just scuff a nylon prop can shatter carbon fiber.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-family:Segoe UI, Inter, system-ui, -apple-system, sans-serif;color:#d0d6e0;font-size:18px;line-height:1.8;\">Nylon with glass-fiber reinforcement (most \"plastic\" props) is the practical choice for 90% of builds. It bends, it survives, it's cheap enough to carry spares.
